About this Death Cafe
I am running Death Cafe to provide conversation and support surrounding a topic that can be difficult for many to talk or think about. I myself want to continue to grow and learn how to comfortably talk about death and its process which is best done as a collective effort. I hope that through these conversations we may all be able to gain empowerment, understanding, and an overall a feeling of being heard and seen for our fears, hopes and struggles. This collective experience is a part of what makes us human, and it is a true opportunity to support each other through discussing this life transition.

Atara Jaffe is a naturopathic medical student at the National University of Natural Medicine, in her clinical year. Her passions include oncology, palliative and end-of-life care.
