We hope that in exploring the topics of dying, death and loss, we come to life more fully--in service to one another and to our planet.

We are grateful for Jennifer Palmer's willingness to open her beautiful space in Nourishing Journey for the first Death Cafe in Columbia, Maryland. Nourishing Journey is centrally located and offers a wide range of services and programs to help individuals achieve their wellness goals.  Nourishing Journey specializes in therapies and protocols to help the body detoxify.

About Raquel Braithwaite

Raquel Braithwaite, Death Cafe Columiba, Maryland organizer, works in outreach and Healing Arts at Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Roberta Rook, facilitator, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years’ experience in the field of counseling and certification in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement).  For the past 11 years, she has been working as a Bereavement Counselor and Program Coordinator for the bereavement/life transitions counseling department of Hospice of the Chesapeake, which is now known as Chesapeake Life Center.  She is also a SoulCollage® Facilitator and Trainer of Facilitators, and has authored a CD on how to use this expressive technique with those facing grief.

Jennifer Palmer, owner of Nourishing Journey, has graciously donated space to host the Death Cafe Columbia, Maryland event. Jennifer is a Traditional Naturopath, Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, Karuna® Reiki Master/Teacher, I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, Life Force Healing Instructor, Access Consciousness™ Bars Facilitator.
