About this Death Cafe
This Cafe is being held as a concurrent session during the annual conference of the American Music Therapy Association. It is a free event and all are welcome; no need to be registered for the conference.
Discussion need not be music-centered though that is always a welcome topic.
We do not have sponsorship and donations to help cover expenses for tea and cake are appreciated.
About Becky Engen and Lauren DiMaio
Dr. Becky Engen is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Music Therapy at Alverno College. Her interest in Death Cafes began as an assignment for students in her End of Life Practices course.
Dr. Lauren DiMaio is an Assistant Professor of Music Therapy at Radford University in Virginia. She is an expert in End of life and Bereavement Music Therapy, where much of her research has focused.
