About this Death Cafe

Celia and Debbie have chosen to run an on-line Death Cafe at this time of virus because some are navigating loss at this time, without being able to accompany their loved one through their dying; some are experiencing loss feeling magnified at this time of loss of our taken-for-granted freedoms; some enjoy being in the presence of other bereaved people to be able to have real and honest conversation.

We will not be able to offer you home-made organic cakes as we usually do, we invite you to make something that you love to eat for the break we will have part-way through.

About Debbie Collins and Celia Spiers

Debbie Collins has worked as a therapist for over thirty years, and trained in bereavement awareness early in her career after navigating several early losses.

Celia Spiers writes : my life struggles with difficult, challenging times have meant facing death and its place in my living. Even people close to me found it almost impossible to talk to me about this and I was delighted to discover my first Death Cafe. A safe, gentle, comfortable space. It is a pleasure to share this with others - a place to listen, learn and eat cake!
